Nanobios Lab

Janhavi obtained a Masters degree in Life sciences and was interested in the field of Cancer biology and therapy. She understood the fundamentals of Cancer during a research internship at the Advanced Centre for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC). After conducting basic research on Cancer she joined Nanobios lab to understand application based research where she was introduced to Cancer nanomedicine. She worked as a project JRF in Nanobios lab and on qualifying GATE and securing the DST-INSPIRE fellowship, she continued her work on developing nanostructures for Cancer Theranostics as a PhD student. Janhavi is currently developing biocompatible NIR responsive gold and protein based nanocomposites for application in Photothermal therapy for breast cancer treatment as a joint Ph.D. degree candidate with Nanyang technological university NTU Singapore.
