About NanoBios Lab
NanoBios Lab can be termed as the perfect breather for a passionate researcher. A learning hub where creative ideas are translated into successful simulations with a positive impact. Every candidate is trained resourcefully to lead research projects and contribute towards smooth operational activities of the lab. The lab group members associate with each other as family and believe in achieving success as a unit combining their expertise coming from various disciplines.
Our guide (Prof. Srivastava) has always motivated us to explore solutions for the under-researched challenges majorly impacting our country. This is the place where we are empowered to be skilled independent researchers in future, develop solutions for the healthcare industry and contribute to the maximum towards bringing up a healthier India.

Prof. Rohit Srivastava
Professor of Biomedical Engineering in Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Bombay
Dr. Rohit Srivastava is currently working as a Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Dr. Srivastava completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from VNIT Nagpur in 1999 with distinction and was the recipient of the scholarship of merit for graduating students for the year. He joined Tata Consultancy Services, SEEPZ, Mumbai for a short duration of a year. Not finding satisfaction in what he was doing, he decided to complete higher studies in the US. He subsequently went on to finish a Master of Science and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA, USA for which he received the best student of the year award in 2005. Dr Srivastava is the proud recipient of the esteemed Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in 2021 for Medical Sciences. He has received Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation GCE Phase 1 starting May 2013. He has been conferred the Sr IYBA award in May 2013. He has received the INAE Young Associateship in 2013. He has received the prestigious INAE Young Engineer Award 2010. He is also the recipient of the prestigious DBT-IYBA 2009 award. He has also been elected a Member of the National Academy of Sciences, 2011. Further, he has been awarded the Young Investigator awards from IIT Bombay (2010), DAE (2006) and DST (2006) and is also the recipient of technical awards from Intellectual Ventures Asia Pte Ltd. Dr Srivastava's lab has been placed third in the prestigious Healthcare Innovation World Cup organized by HIT Lab on solutions to the management of diabetes with a cash award of $5000. Dr Srivastava's lab is also the winner of prestigious Samsung Innovation Award 2012 organized by IIT Delhi (August 2012) for innovation Drishti: The universal eyeglasses and received a cash award of INR 1,50,000 and Trophy for the institute.
